300,000 POUNDS IN ONE WEEK TO END 2022!!
We ended the incredible year of 2022 with one of the biggest food recoveries on record! A whopping 300,000 pounds of fresh produce was recovered and distributed to all of our partners. This is such an enormous feat, and our organization is so proud to achieve this to end the year.
49 PALLETS ON EASTER WEEKEND
Easter weekend was an incredible blessing for our partners and community residents. We distributed 500 produce boxes from PG County, but also 49 pallets of fresh produce, including 26 pallets of bananas! SERVE OTHERS AND BE BLESSED!
JTCC SPRING FESTIVAL
On Saturday, March 26th we distributed 75 produce boxes at the JTCC Youth Spring Tennis Festival. Parents and young tennis stars were excited to receive a free, nutritious treat after a long day on the courts!

THE SUMMER OF FRUIT
Twice per week throughout the summer months, we received incredible shipments of all varieties of fruits. These colorful and tasty fruits added an awesome boost of flavor to our weekly produce distribution!
VARIETY OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
Last week, we received the biggest of assortment of produce in the last ten years. We had 12 different fruits (cantaloupe, honey dew melon, watermelon, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, black berries, grapes, gala apples, grapefuit, mangos, and papaya. The mix of produce and herbs included red cabbage, white potatoes, zucchini, red bell peppers, green bell peppers, orange bell peppers, jalapeno pepper, habenero pepper, cucumber, tomato, okra, spinach, mushrooms, parsley, basil, asparagus, carrots, celery, and many more!

Our rare FIFTH Friday distribution was * insert corny joke *We had over 1,500 ears of fresh corn and greens alongside our 500 produce boxes. It was a beautiful, but windy day for all those who came out!

BLESSED to have incredible partners who LOVE to serve others! @shabachministriesinc made a major impact in our community yesterday by distributing hundreds of produce boxes, meats, and diapers. The line of cars was truly a sight to see, and humbling to know we are helping all of those people in need.

25,000 pounds of chicken to our community.
Massive day at our March 19th produce distribution event. We blessed our community with a 30 pound USDA produce box alongside bags of frozen chicken breasts! In total we passed out 10,248 pounds of USDA boxes and 4,500 pounds of chicken!
Throughout the remainder of the weekend, we distributed 5 full pallets of frozen chicken, which was more than 18,000 pounds! We also had 2 full pallets of flat iron steak, which accumulated another 3,000 pounds. The total calculation of the in-kind donated meat was estimated at $56,775 !! What an incredible weekend for Passion and Compassion’s community!
